Dates TBA

Have you successfully made a corset with your bespoke pattern, and want to decorate or, or try out new fabrics or decorations?

In this class, Dianna will teach you how to create a lined corset, using  your own fashion fabric, with a smooth finish, a floating modesty panel, and embellish it with lace applique, brocade pattern matching, beadwork, crystals, ruched garters, cording and more! In the first class you will learn about different techniques that you may want to use on your corset, and the following classes will be used to work on these techniques in a supervised, semi-private group.

Prerequisite: Pattern Drafting For Corsetry Class and basic sewing experience.

Dates and times to be announced

Students will need to bring their bespoke pattern, fashion fabric, and materials they wish to embellish their corset with.

You will have use of rulers, paper, in-house domestic sewing machines, thread, snips, seam rippers, grommet setter, bone tip tool, tin snips, and unlimited espresso and tea! You are welcome to bring your own sewing machine, and tools if you wish, but it is not necessary.

Teaching the class is Dianna DiNoble, the owner and designer of Starkers Corsetry. She has been creating and expertly fitting corsets for clients worldwide since 1992 from Toronto Ontario. Dianna’s expertise is in the perfect fit and comfort of a corset,  from-scratch pattern drafting, and detailed finishings. The course is taught close to the Dufferin Subway, downtown Toronto.
